Sand, mud, water, and falling rocks are just some of the challenges seals face in mining operations. In addition, there are peak pressures of up to 250 MPa that require a specialized seal design. High extrusion resistance is particularly in demand. Parts of the seal, and even the seal itself, must not be forced into the gap between the moving and fixed elements of the design. This will greatly reduce the working life of the seal.

In close cooperation with customers, installation recommendations are developed with all components of the sealing system. They include all dimensions and tolerances relevant to the sealing element, maximum guide stresses, and the resulting individual clearances. Whether in the customer’s design department or during on-site service, these certified installation drawings save time and money while ensuring design safety.
